Benefits of Skipping
We promote skipping as an activity for all as we feel it offers many health and additional benefits to both children and adults of all ages.
- Improved cardio-vascular fitness
- Increased muscular strength
- Improved stamina levels
- Improved flexibility
- Improved co-ordination
- Increase in social skills through meeting and working with others
- Increased self-esteem through an easy to learn skill
- Opportunities for fun, education and creativity.
It is also an activity open to many since no specialist equipment is required: just an inexpensive skipping rope and somewhere safe to swing it!
